Meet Jasper

The Cat Who Inspired The Diabetic Cat

Jasper, the orange cat who inspired The Diabetic Cat

When Jasper was diagnosed with diabetes, I thought I understood what we were facing.

I'm diabetic myself, so for one brief moment I thought, "I know diabetes. I can handle this."

Then reality set in.

Caring for a diabetic cat was very different from managing my own diabetes. There were new routines to learn, new fears to work through, and the very real anxiety of giving insulin to a cat I loved so much.

Over time, Jasper and I found our rhythm.

Today, Jasper is in diabetic remission, and his journey is why The Diabetic Cat exists.

Because when your cat is diagnosed with diabetes, you don't just need information. You need help figuring out what comes next.

You need clear answers, practical tools, reassurance when you're scared, guidance when you're unsure, and support through the everyday realities of caring for a diabetic cat.

Read Our Story
Jasper's remission is his individual story. Every cat is different, and diabetes care should always be guided by your veterinary team.
